This is where you contact me to discuss your business and what you need, so we can decide together if working with Starlight & Shadow Designs is a good fit! Either way, I will provide you with advice or a referral to keep you and the business of your dreams moving forward.
PURCHASE
If we agree together that Starlight & Shadow Designs is a good fit for you, I’ll put together your package and let you know the total price! I also request a 50% down payment via Zelle or check.
CONTRACT
In order to ensure we're on the same page, I'll send over a four-page design contract that walks you through the entire process, clarifies revisions, and more! After agreeing upon this contract, we can begin the process.
ASSEMBLY
This is the stage where you have homework! In preparation for the next step, and to ensure we have all the information necessary to make amazing logo designs, this is where you'll take the time to assemble the information needed. The information is pretty simple—I'll need your business name, tagline, icons, items, and colors you associate with your business, a short description of your business, your business's core values, and a few examples of logos you like.
QUESTIONNAIRE
This is where you put the information you assembled in the previous step to use by filling out the in-depth questionnaire, which will help me understand your business so I can be sure I’m capturing the heart behind it accurately in the final designs.
DESIGN BRIEF
In order to ensure I'm on the right track, I'll take your responses and assemble a two-page document that sums up the primary features of your business. This is done to make sure I understand your business and also functions as a concise resource for you to refer to anytime in the future!
CONCEPTS
This is when the magic happens! Referring back to the design brief from the previous step and your questionnaire responses, I'll create three high-quality logo concepts with individual typography, icons, and color schemes. I'll present the logo concepts to you in a multi-page PDF, breaking down my design choices and the intentionality behind each design. You'll get to choose one to refine more in the next step!
DESIGN BRIEF
I’ll continue to revise your chosen concept, for a total of up to 3 revision rounds. It’s important particularly at this step to be quick with communication, so we can move everything forward!
WRAP-UP
Once you're happy with your designs and the final payment has been received, I'll send over your final files in easily-accessible .zip files for future use, including source files so you can make minor tweaks on your own in the future!
